Our Vision
Fennel and Frog is a design, consultation and education firm that uses permaculture principles as a framework to establish ecologically based designs for home, farm, business and community. With the goal of improving people's lives, we look to create “human habitats” or places where nature, people and infrastructure are thoughtfully woven together to balance and support each other. Through education we share how nature can set the path to build solid foundations for future generations.
Our Name
Why "Fennel & Frog"? Our backyard pond attracts abundant frogs and toads every spring during their annual spawning, while fennel has made a home along one edge and now gives shade to the fish below. Amphibians are a delightful sign of a healthy ecosystem and fennel benefits us as an aromatic, medicinal, culinary herb and adds a perennial centerpiece for many visiting insects and pollinators.
